Roewe 550: New Car from China has been Launched

Roewe 550 which is the development of SAIC is focused against competitors, competitors from outside China in the class that is most competitive. Making a car is a combination of research and development conducted by SAIC in and outside the country.
That largest automotive company in China revealed, Roewe 550 is the development of an entirely new platform conducted by the SAIC, with the cost reaching 145 million U.S. dollars. Besides Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, the Roewe 550 promote the engine capacity of 1800 cc turbo-motorized, focused to compete with the Ford Focus, Volkswagen and Sagitar. With five variants, Roewe 550 will be sold at the price range 20,750-27,500 U.S. dollars.
Not only that, based on the latest news, SAIC has been conducting discussions with the German company, Karmann about the possibility to conduct the process in the European assembly.
SAIC is a partner of General Motors and Volkswagen brand Roewe created in 2006.
This is part of efforts to resuscitate the local government in automotive production in the country. In addition, the brand is also expected to lift the reputation of China in global competition. There are 30 types of vehicles being developed by SAIC will be launched before 2010.
