Most recently developed technology wind turbines have brought us the energy produced is more profitable and more widespread. Many alternative energy portfolio investment advisers are convinced that alternative energy from currents, tidal movement, and temperature are becoming a predominant form of clean energy. The French are actually quite advanced in the production of hydropower, and many studies are under way in Scotland and the United States along these lines. Some concerns revolve around the problems with the deterioration of metals in salt water, marine growth such as barnacles and violent storms that have been disruptions to energy production in the past. However, this problem, most appear to be healed through the use of different materials better. Ocean produced energy has an advantage because the timing of ocean currents and waves are well understood and reliable.

Investment in hydro-electric technology has increased during the last two decades. Hydro-electric is clean, but is limited by geography. Although already in the production of electricity, large, old dams have had problems with disturbing marine life. Improvements have been made on the dams to protect marine life, but these were expensive. Therefore, greater attention is now paid to low-impact run-of-the-river “hydroelectric plants, which do not have these environmental problems.

The reality is that the energy future is green, and investors would do well to put their money wisely, with the advice that in their minds.
